Interests »

Hobbies is a section covering interests and trademarks of Naga the Serpent, things which immediately set her apart from the other members of the Slayers gang.

Cute, isn't she?Lollipops » While not an actual hobby, lollipops are as trademark to Naga as her skimpy outfit or confident laugh. Lollipops, also called suckers, are a enduring children's candy consisting of hard sugar candy -- flavored and colored -- atop of slim paper-wrapped stick which are licked in order to enjoy its flavor. Quite a few times in her appearences, Naga is seen strolling through a city, enjoying one of these sugarly treats, usually receiving a few less-than-innocent glances from the passing males in the process. This image of a scantily clad Naga and her sucker is just another parody of the sorceress' overtly sexy appearence, playing on the vampy scene it creates as Naga thoroughly enjoys her sucker during the usual banter with the bad guys.

Chimeras and Golems » Chimeras are magically created beings who are made from a mixture of different races of beings. These beings exhibit traits from all its parent races, usually the best of all of them combined to make them more competent than mere humans in a given area. Zelgadis Greywords, another of Lina's companions, is a chimera whose golem-rock skin makes him invunerable to most swords. Golems, similarily, are creatures made of stone who function by its own magic or which can be controlled by their creator. Naga, an inquistive young woman, is fascinated by these magical creatures and sees them as beautiful where most do not. Many of her original spells deal with golems and she, unlike Lina, saw the beauty and majesty in the sorcerer's 'Li-mera' plan.

Hot Springs » Hot Springs are naturally-occuring reserves of water usually from underground, which are naturally warmer than typical ground water. The warmth of a hot spring can range from tepid to boling, but the ideal temperature is pleasantly hot. Besides the natural high temperatures, hot springs are renowned for having healing or medicinal properties from the mix of minerals in the waters. Naga, ever full of surprises, LOVES hot springs. In fact, the sorceress is quite the hot spring expert, so well versed that she can spot a false one by the water's taste, smell and feel. Not only that, the same three properties allow her to identify a water sample's origin.

Spell Crafting » While not unusual for any mage to try their hands at an original spell, such ingenity on Naga's part always leads to trouble. It's not that the spells do not work; it's simply that they do not work correctly, and the consequences which surround it may be worse than the evil she was using it to fight. Naga, undisputedly, has a flair for the dramatic; coupled with her haphazard reasonings skills, trouble abounds when she tries out a Naga original. Watch out for falling objects.
